Ian Jarvis, MFT-I
I understand how challenging it can be when your child is struggling. As a parent, it’s heart-wrenching to watch your child face emotional or behavioral difficulties, especially when you feel unsure of how to help. Whether it's trauma, anxiety, depression, or struggles with emotions and behavior, you want to see your child happy, healthy, and thriving. It takes incredible strength to seek support, and I’m here to walk alongside you and your child through this journey, offering compassion, understanding, and effective therapeutic tools.
As a therapist specializing in working with children, I am deeply committed to helping young clients and their families navigate these challenges. My top areas of focus include trauma recovery, emotional regulation, depression, anxiety, and family conflict. With expertise in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I use a holistic approach that emphasizes the importance of the family unit in the healing process.
Children often need specialized support to process their emotions and experiences, and through Play Therapy, I provide a safe, developmentally appropriate space for them to express themselves and work through difficult feelings. For children facing depression or anxiety, I help them develop healthy coping strategies and resilience. I also work with families experiencing conflict, offering Family Therapy to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and create a more harmonious home environment.
I work with children of all ages, from toddlers to teens, tailoring interventions to meet their unique developmental needs. I am a certified Prepare and Enrich therapist and conduct premarital therapy as well. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am a certified practitioner in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). My professional credentials reflect my dedication to using evidence-based methods to help families thrive.
I believe in a collaborative, compassionate approach, where we work together to create meaningful change. Whether your child is struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, or behavioral issues, I am here to guide them—and your family—toward healing, resilience, and a brighter future. It would be my privilege to support your child on their journey toward growth and well-being.
